Canadian holding regular = tourist = blue passport is not required visa for UAE, at the entry port the immigration officer will stamp the passport, the stamp allow you to stay up 30 days. If you wish to stay more you should contact the immigration before your 30 days are over. For others type of Passport Green and Red you do need a visa before you travel to UAE.
