Requirements
The sponsor in Saudi Arabia must apply for a visa authorization through the Ministry of Labour and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Once the application is approved, it will appear in the MOFA and MOL systems. The sponsor must provide the applicant with a copy of an electronic Power of Attorney (also known as Tafweed- must be in the name of the applicant only and no agent name).
Medical Report
- If you require a medical report, the report is valid for only Three months from the date of issue.
-Please note that all tests on the Medical form must be completed. These medical tests are available in Canada and their completion is mandatory (few physicians may suggest that the testing is not needed, however it must be completed in order for the Saudi work visa application to be processed).
- If the medical report is processed in Canada, it will take approximately one month.
- If the medical report is processed outside of Canada, it has to be identical to the medical form at the bottom of this page and testified by the Saudi Arabian Embassy IN THE COUNTRY OF ISSUE.
- You MUST confirm with your doctor that you have all required test results INCLUDING (HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis B and C).
Authentication of medical report
- The purpose of the attestation of the College of Physicians and Surgeons is to confirm that the physician is licensed in that province or in that territory. The College of physicians and Surgeons does not attest the test results.
- Ensure that your Medical report you require to be authenticated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons is signed by the physician and that his/her registration number appears on the report. The name of the physician must be printed and clearly legible.

Two recent (No more than a month old) photographs (4x6 cm) on a plain white background (write name, signature and stamp date on back).

The passport validity should correspond with the duration of the contract, and include the place of birth and two blank pages side by side. (Original Only)

One of the following:

Tafweed, if the sponsor is a private business/company , a copy of an approved electronic Power of Attorney (Tafweed) with the following information: full name of the applicant (future employee) and his/her job title, POA number and date, the employer's company name.( Not in the name of the approved agent).

Authorization letter issued by the Cultural Bureau (if applicable) if the KSA sponsor is under the Ministry of Education (MOE)such as a government university or MOE ‘s entity: The letter has to mention the visa number, the profession applied for and if a family is coming along too. (Visaenterprise can obtain this document from SCB in your behalf)

A copy of the work contract signed by both parties and stamped from the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

A copy of your Canadian university or college Degree / Diploma (certificates do not need an authentication by The Saudi Cultural Bureau). MUST match or be related to your job title and must be certified by:

The issuing institution or by a Canadian Notary Public

Global Affairs Canada, authentication and legalization section (previous called The Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development of Canada (DFATD).

The Saudi Cultural Bureau in Ottawa (SCB). (New requirement).
- The SCB requires two sets of original transcripts in an envelope sealed by the issuing institution (one transcript must be opened and authenticated / attested or legalized by Global Affairs Canada) in order to certify the degree (Please request that your name be written on this envelope, so we can identify it without opening the envelop). The transcripts must match the copy of the degree/diploma you are submitting for the visa application. Please send us the "from G” below if you are requesting us to stamp your degree at the Saudi Cultural Bureau in Ottawa.
- Certificate without transcripts (such as The Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) certificate, professional engineer certificate or Teacher Certificate…. etc.) must be attested first by Global Affairs Canada, authentication section, then by SCB, however SCB must receive a confirmation letter or email from issuing entity directly.
Advisable to send us two copies of your degree to be attested by the SCB:
- First copy (mandatory) will be submitted to the consular section with your visa application (the Saudi embassy in Ottawa, Canada, will keep it).
- Second copy (advisable) will be returned to you with your passport, so you can take it with you to your employer in Saudi Arabia. (the employer may request this for the employment and residency registration process in Saudi Arabia).

Foreign Degrees must be certified by Saudi Cultural bureau in the country of issue.

If the applicant has no degree, then a letter of experience from previous or current Canadian employer notarized by a Notary Public as well as authenticated by DFATD (New requirement). If the issuing institution is based in a country other than Canada, the letter of experience MUST be certified by the Saudi Arabian Embassy in that country.

A Completely filled out medical report form that MUST BE:

Valid, less than Three months from the date of issue.

The physician used a CHECK MARK (✔) for POSITIVE RESULTS OR NEGATIVE RESULTS only.

The report certified by college of physicians of the issuing province (Original Only).

d
Copy of all required test results including: HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis B and C - please attach copy of these test results after the medical report form.

If any of the above 4 results are positive +, then your Doctor must provide a typed explanation of why they are positive. On the other hand, If the results are expressed in a numerical value, then your Doctor must provide a typed explanation that the results are interpreted as Negative and that you do not have the disease. The Doctor's note must be typed on the Clinic's letterhead and stamped by their official seal or stamp as well as signed by the Doctor, with their license number appearing beside the signature.

If medical report is done outside of Canada, it must be authenticated by the KSA Embassy in that country.

If the medical report is issued in KSA it must be authenticated by MOFA.

An original valid Canadian Police Records Check. (Less than three months from the issuing date – you can obtain this certificate simply by NAME SEACH only and no need for fingerprint processing).

If applicant previously worked in Saudi Arabia, a letter of release must be attached. (Original & one copy)

Non-Canadian applicants must submit a notarized photocopy of their valid residency permit (Permanent Residence Card). Send only a copy of the front and back sides of the PR card. The copy must be notarized by a Notary Public and stamped by the Canadian Department of Global Affairs, International Trade and Development. The Notary must state on the copy that it's a true copy of the original.

Flight Itinerary must be provided with consideration of the following points:

The KSA Embassy has advised that no ticket should be purchased before issuance of the visa.

The KSA Embassy in Ottawa can issue visas that allow travelers to enter KSA by air exclusively. No Entry By Land.

Please ensure that your entry airport is the closest to your sponsor's location. The port of entry to KSA must be the same or the closest airport to the location of the sponsor. If the sponsor invited the applicant to conduct business/visit in a different city other than the one displayed in the company's Registration Certificate, the sponsor must provide a letter in Arabic explaining the reason for this. An example can be for conducting business in another branch/location of the company.
